This mod makes the gangs in Liberty City less troublesome by limiting them to only melee weapons. The main reason for this mod is to prevent your cars from being shot up as you drive through gang territories, especially when doing vehicle missions. However, stopping in or walking through gang territories is still dangerous--a swarm of bat-toting mobsters is no picnic.

This mod makes the gangs in Liberty City less troublesome by limiting them to only melee weapons. The main reason for this mod is to prevent your cars from being shot up as you drive through gang territories, especially when doing vehicle missions. However, stopping in or walking through gang territories is still dangerous--a swarm of bat-toting mobsters is no picnic.
But to make sure the game isn't over-simplified, I modified many of the gang-related missions to give them their normal firepower during the mission only. The Mafia and Triads will also have pistols before they start hating you.
