This was actually my very first attempt at music composition. It was done in ModPlug Tracker as an Impulse Tracker module. It has some cool beats, melodies, and samples; but until the last half, the many themes have no commonality. However, this last half is actually rather impressive for a first piece, dare I say "kickin". One site I submitted this to even rated it as a 7/10.

This mod makes the lightning projectile about six times faster, meaning it can go about 100m in a second. This obviously means that you won't be able to dodge the shock damage bolts. To balance that fact out, I made all shock damage spells cost 20% more magicka. This was preferable to lowering the damage of all ranged shock damage spells in the game, which wouldn't affect other mods with shock spells anyways.

Since the shock damage spells still looked like sneezes, albeit fast sneezes, I also spent some time modifying the visual effects. The bolt effect is based off of Vortex's Shock Animation Change mod, which has a single blue-ish bolt. I made the bolt about eight times longer, though. Additionally, I changed the stock hit shader to have more of the shock texture and fewer, faster particles.

In version 1.1, a vastly updated version of mrflippy's Lightning Strikes mod was included because it is now much prettier with this lightning mod. The mod is included as a separate plugin, so the user can decide whether they want to use it or not. See the included readme for more information on that mod.

It's meant to remove a line from a text file if it matches the regular expression provided. You give it an input file and output file, and it'll complete the search and copy in a relatively short time (50mb in ~5 secs). It also can just check to see if there are any matches without the copying. I used .NET because it has good built-in regex support and file IO performance.

This is an app I made to address the inability of the Logitech drivers and software to change mouse button settings according to the app that has the focus. As an alternative, you may want to use the Logigamer software. My app only works with the MX510, MX500, MX700, and MX310 right now, but it has the possibility of working with any of the (older) Mouseware mice. (If you have a newer, SetPoint mouse, try uberOptions.) While my app doesn't allow some of the more advanced features like Logigamer, it does have an edge with a different method of notifying the Logitech mouse software drivers of scheme changes (it uses a message system instead of the more common restarting of EM_EXEC). This makes it a little more responsive. I also think my user-interface and scheme settings are easier to use.

The software is split into a monitoring app that sits in the systray and a settings app. The settings app can add programs by browsing or selecting open programs. All the functions of the Mouseware are available to set to buttons, including keystrokes. You can also select to add a program to the games compatibility list for the Logitech software. The monitor app uses about 2-3MB of memory standard, but can be minimized down to 1MB on low system memory. Crashes on startup have been fixed.

Since I was designing the new content with a more evolved Doom port (Legacy), this PWAD pushes the limits in terms of what the engine can handle. As such, it's only confirmed to work with jDoom and Legacy ports.

The game itself tries to emulate more wide-open, realistic environments rather than the confined spaces of Doom 2. Thus the number of enemies firing at the player can be overwhelming at times, making for really challenging gameplay. But this also makes Marines a blast for coop and deathmatch play. In my amatuer modding, some of the sprites and sounds I replaced add to the enjoyment, such as the Mancubus' reply of "Thank you, sir. May I have another?" (Animal House) when hit.

Despite not being complete, this PWAD is still great fun. A config file for Legacy is included, but not required, as is a DeHacked file.

I made this simple app as a replacement to using the blank screensaver when I'm leaving the computer (usually for the night). Instead of the monitor(s) eventually going to standby after a certain idle time, they'll go immediately when you run this program. This saves power (since I know I won't be back for awhile) and keeps the backlight glow from disturbing my sleep. When I say "simple app", I mean really simple, like 1 line of code simple. It takes a single function call to perform, but yet Microsoft couldn't be bothered to include this anywhere in Windows' interface. It actually took me more time to make the icon than to do the code.

Tip: If you put a shortcut to this program in your Start Menu somewhere, you can set the "Shortcut key" to whatever hotkey you want and use that to put the monitor(s) into standby.

This part took an especially long time to do since the school only had an iMac for video editing (god damn you, Macs, with your single mouse buttons!). The actual news portion is pretty bland, but the "entertainment special" is rather funny. It features the poetic stylings of the oft-mentioned Gandalf the Cock. The credit music was not my idea. When I was getting close to completing this episode, people started weighing in with their two cents and coerced me into using "black music". I'm not being particularly racist here, as all the black people did indeed want it. However, as a whole, I'd accomplished my goal of making NNN not suck.
