This is a 3D sound demonstration app that was originally a DirectX 9 SDK sample. However, all Microsoft's example did was open one sound and spin it around the listener. I added the abiltiy to have multiple sounds placed anywhere in a 2D soundscape. It also allows the user to move the listener around in the soundscape as they would a video game. My greatest ambition for this program was to make it a sound engine for a video game set completely in the dark (hence the name), except for a scanner remniscent of the one from Aliens. However, that's far off from what I have now. For the final version, I just want to have ogg/mp3 file support and a DirectX effects editor for every loaded sound.

The source and some starter sounds are included in this release. The program is probably good for testing surround sound speakers, as well.

This is an app I made to address the inability of the Logitech drivers and software to change mouse button settings according to the app that has the focus. As an alternative, you may want to use the Logigamer software. My app only works with the MX510, MX500, MX700, and MX310 right now, but it has the possibility of working with any of the (older) Mouseware mice. (If you have a newer, SetPoint mouse, try uberOptions.) While my app doesn't allow some of the more advanced features like Logigamer, it does have an edge with a different method of notifying the Logitech mouse software drivers of scheme changes (it uses a message system instead of the more common restarting of EM_EXEC). This makes it a little more responsive. I also think my user-interface and scheme settings are easier to use.

The software is split into a monitoring app that sits in the systray and a settings app. The settings app can add programs by browsing or selecting open programs. All the functions of the Mouseware are available to set to buttons, including keystrokes. You can also select to add a program to the games compatibility list for the Logitech software. The monitor app uses about 2-3MB of memory standard, but can be minimized down to 1MB on low system memory. Crashes on startup have been fixed.

This program is useful for fixing out-of-sync audio in video files. It does the math to find out what framerate will bring the audio back into sync. You will still need a program like VirtualDub to fix the video file. In a nutshell, this gives all European civs access to the Gatling Gun unit without needing to revolt.

I found that since TAD's release with all the quirky new Asian civs and strategies, the European civs were feeling a bit bland. And since I never revolt because it seems too risky, I thought I could liven them up by enabling the revolution-only Gatling Gun. Besides that, the Gatling gun can also be improved by more technologies and is more effective against light infantry and cavalry. However, it is still weak against artillery, ships, and buildings and is best countered by artillery.

True to the mod's name, this version of the mod features a universal installer, so everyone can use it!

I made this simple app as a replacement to using the blank screensaver when I'm leaving the computer (usually for the night). Instead of the monitor(s) eventually going to standby after a certain idle time, they'll go immediately when you run this program. This saves power (since I know I won't be back for awhile) and keeps the backlight glow from disturbing my sleep. When I say "simple app", I mean really simple, like 1 line of code simple. It takes a single function call to perform, but yet Microsoft couldn't be bothered to include this anywhere in Windows' interface. It actually took me more time to make the icon than to do the code.

Tip: If you put a shortcut to this program in your Start Menu somewhere, you can set the "Shortcut key" to whatever hotkey you want and use that to put the monitor(s) into standby.
