So far, this mod includes two sets, one designed for Thieves and the other for Mages. I did this mod because I find the items in Oblivion to be a bit bland compared to other RPGs. The two main item factors missing are prefixes and sets. Since prefixes/suffixes are essentially impossible to add, I started this set item mod. Nothing makes me more excited in an RPG than finding that set item loot. And nothing requires more decision than choosing to break a set. But hopefully, my items and bonuses are so unique and powerful (though not godly) that you won't have to go through those decisions. This mod is best suited for new characters.

This makes ranged shock damage spells travel at lightning speed. I made this mod because I thought it sucked that the shock spells looked more like a sneeze than a lightning bolt. This mod makes the lightning projectile about six times faster, meaning it can go about 100m in a second. So it's not quite lightning speed, but if it was set any higher, you wouldn't see the bolt at all.

This mod makes the lightning projectile about six times faster, meaning it can go about 100m in a second. So it's not quite lightning speed, but if it was set any higher, you wouldn't see the bolt at all.

This obviously means that you won't be able to dodge the shock damage bolts. To balance that fact out, I made all shock damage spells cost 20% more magicka. This was preferable to lowering the damage of all ranged shock damage spells in the game, which wouldn't affect other mods with shock spells anyways.

Since the shock damage spells still looked like sneezes, albeit fast sneezes, I also spent some time modifying the visual effects. The bolt effect is based off of Vortex's Shock Animation Change mod, which has a single blue-ish bolt. I made the bolt about eight times longer, though. Additionally, I changed the stock hit shader to have more of the shock texture and fewer, faster particles.

Short Version

In version 1.1, a vastly updated version of mrflippy's Lightning Strikes mod was included because it is now much prettier with this lightning mod. The mod is included as a separate plugin, so the user can decide whether they want to use it or not. See the included readme for more information on that mod.

This scenario originally began in hopes that it could be entered into the RoN Heaven "Napoleonic Era Scenario Design Contest" of Feb. 2004. I spent many days just setting up the scenario based on historical records and maps. Everything was as historically accurate as is possible in RoN. But then I realized that the AI could not handle the scenario nearly effective enough, and I didn't have enough ...

This scenario originally began in hopes that it could be entered into the RoN Heaven "Napoleonic Era Scenario Design Contest" of Feb. 2004. I spent many days just setting up the scenario based on historical records and maps. Everything was as historically accurate as is possible in RoN. But then I realized that the AI could not handle the scenario nearly effective enough, and I didn't have enough time left in the contest to do my own AI script.

I decided to finish up the scenario for multiplayer. I spent another few days working on the script and order of battle. Then, when the scenario was finally looking complete, I went to test it in multiplayer. But to my dismay, many of the script features that made the singleplayer experience unique didn't work at all in multiplayer. Totally pissed off, I gave up.

I shouldn't have given up, though, because the scenario is still excellent. The version presented here is a revival of the scenario with a reworked script so that maybe a few people can see what could have been.

After you've extracted the script to your scenario directory, you'll notice that there are two scenario files. Austerlitz is the original scenario with the full script and AusterlitzMP is a multiplayer version with all the defunct scripting disabled.

The singleplayer version has no AI. It is basically a sandbox for you to try out the scenario's features. However, you can play against yourself if you like. To switch sides, just click a unit or building controlled by the opposite player.

The multiplayer version will allow you to play against one person (or the AI, but I wouldn't recommend it). The host will be French (Napoleon) and the other player will be Russian (Allies).

It's a spell for mages that want to moonlight as a thief. However, the purse only holds the gold from the NPC, not keys or other useful pickpocketable items.

However, those rares were all missing 3D art. I made my own art for some of them, but others either look like vanilla rares or just an icon.
