This is a fictional skirmish set during the Battle of Hurtgen Forest that occurred during November and December 1944.

Although this is a small map, it is so highly detailed and carefully crafted that I believe it comparable to Relic's own professionally-made maps. I started building the map more than three years ago, inspired by the Operation Market Garden map "Best".

Although this is a small map, it is so highly detailed and carefully crafted that I believe it comparable to Relic's own professionally-made maps. I started building the map more than three years ago, inspired by the Operation Market Garden map "Best".

Hurtgen Forest has 11 capturable territory sectors with 5 being munitions and 2 fuel. The limited fuel makes the map mostly geared toward infantry combat. A stream divides the map in half forming a natural defensive line for each player. However, a single road that runs the length of the map does cross the stream, and the stream is passable at every point. Each territory sector (except the roads) has some existing defensive structures: a church, bunkers, trenches, or mere sandbags. There are a lot of trees on this map--it is a forest after-all.

This map also features a realistic passage of time, starting with a foggy morning and progressing through midday, sunset, and night. The map was primarily designed to be played with the Annihilate victory condition but does support Capture Points. Because the AI is slow to start and the map is rather small, using an AI difficulty one level higher than your usual level is also recommended.

This is a font I made from the Deus Ex 2 in-game font, which was basically just a texture file (first image at left) that the game cuts up into individual characters. I wrote my own program to do the same thing, but get it into a more usable font format. Feel free to use it in whatever you like; however, it only looks good from about 10pt to 18pt due to the small size of the original characters and inaccuracy of converting to a font.

• 9 alarm date types ensure that you'll quickly be able to set alarms to match your schedule
• Big button text on the alarm dialog helps the sleepy-eyed and visually-impaired in the mornings

• Choose from 4 different action types, such as playing a sound or showing a message box

This is a pack of 37 redone, high-resolution flats (floor and ceiling textures) I did for the jDoom port. It's mostly just for the first (shareware) episode of Doom, though. The pack also contains a mod that provides custom, per-level fog settings and another that emites fumes from nukage barrels and pools. Kickstart addon files are included.

WRONG! Applications shouldn't store their settings in the registry. It centralizes application-specific data, making the reinstallation, copying, and settings tweaking of applications more cumbersome. For all of my programs, I use these "Windows 3.1 compatibility" functions to read/write settings to a .ini configuration file that can be placed in the directory with a program. They're actually far easier to use than the registry, too, and with minimal drawbacks. Over the years, I've been refining these functions with a wrapper module that makes accessing application settings even easier, which you can download here. It includes the following members:

This program is useful for fixing out-of-sync audio in video files. It does the math to find out what framerate will bring the audio back into sync. You will still need a program like VirtualDub to fix the video file. The Readme includes a complete tutorial on how to fix audio sync issues with Media Player Classic, VirtualDubMod, and this program.

This is an app I made to address the inability of the Logitech drivers and software to change mouse button settings according to the app that has the focus. As an alternative, you may want to use the Logigamer software. My app only works with the MX510, MX500, MX700, and MX310 right now, but it has the possibility of working with any of the (older) Mouseware mice. (If you have a newer, SetPoint mouse, try uberOptions.) While my app doesn't allow some of the more advanced features like Logigamer, it does have an edge with a different method of notifying the Logitech mouse software drivers of scheme changes (it uses a message system instead of the more common restarting of EM_EXEC). This makes it a little more responsive. I also think my user-interface and scheme settings are easier to use.

The software is split into a monitoring app that sits in the systray and a settings app. The settings app can add programs by browsing or selecting open programs. All the functions of the Mouseware are available to set to buttons, including keystrokes. You can also select to add a program to the games compatibility list for the Logitech software. The monitor app uses about 2-3MB of memory standard, but can be minimized down to 1MB on low system memory. Crashes on startup have been fixed.

-added basic support for the following mice: MX500, MX700, MX310. i have no idea whether or not these mice work, but if they follow the same routines as the MX510, it is probable they will.
