This is the complete original Deus Ex soundtrack which I have remastered and converted into more-easily listenable formats. I did this compilation because the official soundtrack is missing a large number of tracks, and some of those that are present are not the same versions from the original PC game (probably closer to the PS2 versions).
This remaster fixes a number of issues present in the original tracker format music. The samples were redone to remove hissing, pops, clicks, or anything that didn’t sound right. The various sections (combat, exploration, conversation, etc.) were arranged in such a way as to be musically enjoyable while not leaving too much cut out. And some track endings were modified to be more pleasing to listen to.
The tracks were recorded using playback from ModPlug Player with certain EQ, resample, and stereo separation tweaks. Then their volume was balanced to more conventional levels before being exported to their final formats. MP3 files were encoded using Lame with “-V 3” VBR. Files are named such that they are in chronological game order.

Downloads
MP3 format is for listening (you probably want to download this one). FLAC is for lossless listening, sound editing, or transcoding into other compressions. MOD format is the raw Impulse Tracker files for editing the music composition, but it is also mostly listenable if you have the appropriate player software. UMX format is an experimental version for use in-game.
Further Listening
- Sonic Augmentation OC Mix Fan remixes. Tracks vary from highly-boppin to unremarkable.
- Conspiravision Remixes by the original composers. Nothing too ground-breaking, but an interesting listen nonetheless.
- Epic Games Tracker Music Other games with tracker music by the same composers that I have converted or remastered.
- Deus Ex Soundtrack Music Videos A playlist of videos using the same remastered music and some appropriate background game footage.

Any chance of a establishing a second mirror for these? I’m attempting to download the regular version but the connection keeps dropping (and I noted that download managers have issues here – I’m not using one.)
Seems to work for me. Maybe some temporary server issues that you experienced. There aren’t any mirrors that I know of, but let me know if it’s still janky and maybe I can set something up.
It’s very janky for me. I tried downloading the regular mp3s and FLAC on JDownloader 2 and through my browser. It fails everytime.
Any chance you have the individual remastered tracks?
I’d like to be able to listen to the aspects of your remasters (combat, exploration, conversation ,etc) independently of one-another.
I don’t have any further versions other than what is already available for download. See previous comments.
Thank you, dude
Thank you so much for doing this. Very excited about getting to hear Deus Ex in FLAC quality!!
NYC Streets 2 Outro is missing :c
That is true. I believe I wrote in another comment that I didn’t include all the incidentals, especially if they weren’t awesome or couldn’t be arranged in a way that was musically appropriate. I believe all the conversation and action music is included, though, so I think you’ll be okay without 15 seconds of one outro.
Stunning! I have been looking for this kind of in depth version for a long time. Fantastic work, thank you!
you are amaze!
Hey, this is very much appreciated! I love this game but don’t have time to play. I listen to this music instead while working!
Do you have the version of the Intro without the talking just the music? Thank you!
Sorry, but as I’ve mentioned before, I didn’t actually save most of the intermediate files when I was working on this project. So, that’s a no, unfortunately. But you’re right, I really should have done alternate versions of the intro and ending tracks.
Gods bless you my friend.
Snake, this is beautiful! I bought the PS2 Deus Ex and finally played it, 14 years late, last year. Loved it! I avoided combat whenever possible, so some of the “fighting” versions I never got to hear!
To answer Jason’s 6/22/13 question, the DEHR Augmented Edition soundtrack is on a blu-ray disc and needs a blu-ray player to extract. I too was frustrated that I couldn’t just stick it in my computer and rip the tracks to my phone!
Hey Snake, I would like to extend my upmost gratitude at this release. I grabbed the FLAC set and dropped them on my Pono player. Cranking it through my V-MODA M100’s and I am totally blown away. I feel like a criminal, this is too good to be free. The stereo quality in UNATCO Return is just brilliant.
If I wasn’t a broke student I’d be want to thank you with something other than words for making this so easily accessible. You are a champion and totally made my night! 😀
Well, you’re very welcome. Yes, I think I did increase the stereo separation quite a bit because I feel like it’s more enveloping that way.
Having a lot of trouble downloading the non-FLAC version of this. It either takes forever and then shows up with broken files or won’t download at all.
Sorry about that. My host is bullshit lately. I’ll look into it if I get a chance.
Well, I fixed the downloads not giving their size to the browser, but the speed and stability of the downloads will still be iffy, I guess. Feel free to post mirrors in the comments if you have them.
Thank you! I appreciate the effort and all the stuff you’ve posted that I’ve enjoyed-namely the Diablo II mods. I can’t wait to hear the soundtrack. It sucks your host has been giving you issues. I’ll definitely rehost it over on my mediafire and share the link!
Here’s a mirror link for you http://www.mediafire.com/download/2auj2h33l880s1l/DESoundtrack.rar
I don’t have much on my mediafire account since I use dropbox now so I’m more than happy to let it stay there for you.
Thank you! It took a couple tries to download, but I got it eventually.
Awesome game. Love how it is based around real life events. Amazing soundtrack, too!
Thanks Mate
Cheers !!
Great stuff, cheers!
Dude… Your Like/ AWESOME!
Just what I wanted. Good work soldier!
Do I get an Op bonus for this mission?
200 Skill Points and a Forty. Use them wisely.
Thanks! !! By far the best game soundtrack ive ever heard.
Tanks a lot!! Great work
Thanks a lot dude! Much appreciated
This is a lovely idea – thanks! I can’t wait to try them out.
Great job, Snake! Been looking for a good OST like this for a while.
Seems like FLAC file is broken, at least I’ve downloaded it several times and tried to unpack with several archivers to be sure in what I write here. Can you please check it? Thanks!
UPD: for som reasons, download managers I used (Download Master and Download accelerator Plus; they download file with several streams) gave broken archive in te result. Downloading using just browser was successful, all is OK. Thanks a bunch for your work!
yup, multi-part downloaders have always had this problem. be careful.
Can’t seem to download either file…I am using a Mac. Is there a special process? I was unable to get the album off my PS3 Augmented Edition disc for some reason & I am desperate to get this album!
Also, is the the Album from Deus Ex: Human Revolution?
what you see above is what you get. if you want the Human Revolution soundtrack, then buy the augmented edition of the game or the album online.
downloaded fine for me. this is not the PS3 version.
