This is the complete original Deus Ex soundtrack which I have converted to VBR MP3 format. I did this compilation because the official soundtrack is missing a large number of tracks, and some of those that are present are not the same versions from the original game (probably closer to the PS2 versions).
But this isn’t just a straight MOD-to-MP3 rip. I have also resampled any noticeably poor quality samples (e.g. hissing, distortions, pops) and arranged the tracks for mostly correct pattern order and also aurally pleasing order. Finally, I recorded the MODs to lossless PCM and then VBR (-V 4) MP3 using Lame. Files are named such that they are in chronological game order.

Seriously groovy, man. Thank you!
My day has been made. Thank you.
meow
Could you please fix the FLAC download link? I’m unable to download it.
And thank you!
Fixed. Thanks for the report and enjoy.
Brilliant! Thank you!
Great! Thank you! Does this include the Death/Game Over tracks too?
I included the death music for some levels and also the takeoff music. depends on whether or not the death music was any good or just a lame incidental.
Any chance in getting these in a lossless format? Either way, you rule!
Done. Now available above in FLAC format.
Thank you!!
would anyone have a clue on how to get this on to my ipod? i am not tech savvy. preferably a way with few or no downloads because my pc is shared.
the only option is to download it click on it and select “extract all”
This is incredible, thanks a lot! Is there anyway to download your Tong remix you linked to above? It’s really REALLY good.
you’re welcome. the tong ending remix you speak of can be downloaded by just right-clicking on the link and then selecting “Save As” (exact wording depends on your browser).
Perfect, thanks a lot.
This keeps downloading as a .php file. Am I doing something wrong? My phone will not allow me to unzip this file. Any help is appreciated!
phone? i have no idea. use a PC. this website isn’t optimized for smartphones, unfortunately.
This is quality, folks. Couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you!
Great stuff man. Brings back memories like no other game.
Not sure if it’s just me, but the archive doesn’t seem to be downloading right – CRC check fails. Is this happening for anyone else?
worked for me. although it didn’t show the length of the file while downloading, which is interesting…
Very weird – tried it again and it seems to be working. Oh well! Thanks very much for the music!
Maybe you can do an extended version of DX2′s main theme~
well, no. i think that’s pretty unlikely. but i did do an extended version of the tong ending from DX1.
Nice, allways nice to find someone holding on to the game classics
Been looking for this
Thanks! I’ve been looking for this!
thanks, man. i was just playing DEHR and in one office in the police station in detroit there is a portable plucked in a loudspeaker playing some old Deux Ex sounds.
Thanks for doing this.
Thanks so much for this. The tracks sound gorgeous.
OMG!! I can’t believe you resample and re-converted!!!Am I dreaming!!??
Anyway, there is another great game named “No one lives forever”,the game soundtrack is awesome, same as DeusEx, maybe you want to resample that and release it~ That will be GREAT!
I don’t recall the No One Lives Forever music being awesome–it was alright, I guess. According to my own research a while back, it actually uses MIDI files with custom sound fonts for music. Not exactly possible to clean up the samples in that case, although you could probably redo the instrumentation. Anyways, thanks for the feedback. Glad you like.
I love the Deus Ex ost, I listen to it driving home from work at night.
Nice work, thanks!
I’ve also recorded the soundtrack manually, but I didn’t keep the files. In my opinion, the original tunes were much better than the arranged ones. You can also open them with the OpenMPT tracker and start analyzing or remixing.
I used ModPlug Tracker to work with these tracks–an older version of OpenMPT, it seems. Stupid me, though, I also forgot to keep the MOD files that I cleaned up.
i will listen on my mp4 too, walking along the street dreaming in a unexplored city on 2054. if you like Brandon´s music listen that: http://www.mediafire.com/?2yoro37naly97ad It was composed by him. transpot your mind to another worlds.
Duuuuuuuuude… I’ve wanted this for SO long. I’m putting this on my mp3 player and listening to it whenever I step outside for a smoke. Prepare for the wave of nostalgia.
