Whilst my parents were in the Bahamas, I had what will now be called the “Sim-Fest”; a festival of…well, playing “The Sims” for 26 Hours in three days (and I had school one of those days). The biggest chunk of my time, and probably the longest I’ve ever spent playing a game straight, was on Friday: 7:30pm to 6:30am; 11 hours! Everything you may have heard is true; this is an extremely addictive game. So far, “Chris” has a 7-room house, plasma TV, hot-tub, a job as a Lobbyist, and a hot wife, “Rebecca.”
But, “The Sims” has it’s share of niggles and obnoxious things; things that are present in the real world, but not the game. So, I went to the Longbow Digital Arts site and found an upgrade to one of my already favorite demos, DX-Ball2. Now it has in-game music, cooler boards, and multiplayer support (basically just a tourney on one system). It reignited my love of this “blockbusting” demo (they call it a full version with just 24 boards, though). And as always Loogie and I fragged our way through the zombie-filled multiplayer levels of Doom2 on Doom95, and I played a good many “Hunted” maps as the Prez in TFC. 300 points for the BodyGuards!
Damn Snipers!
