Yes, the news posting cgi obviously works…so far. Hopefully (as Que has found out), posting news won’t be as stressful and should help aleviate some of our time for other things, such as making new columns. BTW, I’m currently finishing up the research to be used in my next column, The VT6X4 Tweak Guide.
You may have also noticed that a lot of the major pages at S–L.com have the extension .shtml. This is because of the new visitor tracking system I put in place tonight. To use SSI (Server-Side Includes), the page has to be Server HTML (shtml) and the SSI is what sends all the visitor information to the database. Using this, I think we will be able to find out what our most popular sections are and enhance those even further.
That’s about it for now. I’d have to make a 10 page post if I wanted to describe my “20 Days of no news”, so I think I’ll skip that.
