Another day, another lackluster demo reviewed. Sid Meier’s SimGolf is the subject this time. Find the review here and enjoy the screenshot.

Now, off the topic of demos: Threewave. What is it? It is the end of traditional Quake3. Never again will I play the lameness of vanilla Q3A, it’s all about 3W. I’ve only begun to explore it, but so far I’ve been very impressed. Check out their website here and the screenage below.

I reviewed the Dark Planet demo, which is so new, I haven’t even seen any major sites that have it. Nevertheless, you can find it here.

Also, a new thing that I added with this review was the ability to add screenshots that work like the ones below. I really need some demo reviewers, too. If you play a lot of demos, you should sign up here and help make this resource better.

Ok, so… today, Snake and I did a LOT of minor-major changes to the site. Most noticeable is of course the nav u see to the left, which Snake finally made w/ Flash (get it if u don’t have it, and make sure u aren’t using a really old version of IE, or some other unsupported browser). It has sounds when u “tree” down, and sublinks. For the columns nav submenu, the 5 most popular are listed.

Also, I went through and made the editors page, the most recent archived news page, and all of the columns universal (w/ CSS, colors, backgrounds, etc.), and Snake made it so that now, whenever u go to a column in a whole browser, it hops inside the top and nav frames, to the main frame. Magic! Naw, just JavaScript. I updated my CS column, too.

This was all more complicated than it sounds, but once u finish doin all of it, it’s just the BOOM of the day 8) .

I found a link at [H]ardOCP a few hours ago to the Dumbass Database, a collection of stories about computer llamas. Some of these are insanely humorous, check it out here. Loogie and I added 2 stories, but his sucks. I think Que will probably enjoy my story. 😛

Gandalf and I went to see Black Hawk Down earlier today, and damn…this is great shit. I think it was better than Saving Private Ryan; of course, there weren’t any huge stars but who needs that, right? The best part is simply the lack of fluff. You know what I mean. In the beginning when they’re laying out the setting, there’s a little fluff, but then it’s non-stop war. Ridley Scott was the director, he also did the classic Aliens, and Hans Zimmer did the music, from the spectatular Gladiator. You can’t go wrong with this one, esp. if your a player of Ghost Recon, Delta Force, etc. If it’s still playing in your area, catch it.

Umm, Loog is such a fa… ah hell… g! He somehow neglected to notice that he REALLY DOES suck at CS. He said that “TFR never resets the stats”… dumbass. It only keeps a 2 week log… it doesn’t have to reset; it only covers the two weeks since the last update. God, I swear man. And the reason I’m #70 (as of today, was 65 when loog posted) is because I’ve only played about 4 hours of CS total over the last two weeks. I simply don’t have enough kills to get a higher rank. When I was ranked 8th I was playing closer to 3 hours every day. I had plenty of kills to pump up my rating. Lol, loog is ghey.
