No, I’m not gonna talk about hacking here… actually, some “hacking” is legal. I have been looking for a way to burn Max Payne for Snake, and because it has SafeDisk™ on it, it can’t be burned traditionally. So I searched cdrom-guide.com for help getting a program (cloneCD) to crack SafeDisk- this is legal because it was made to allow a person to make a backup of his own game CD for himself 
… but anyway, since I don’t have a burner, I looked for “nocd” hacks so it can run w/out CD… also legal. I couldn’t get one to work for Payne, but I did successfully crack SoF. So… that’s it there.
I don’t see here that Snake has mentioned PowerStrip yet, so I’ll go ahead and explain it… PowerStrip is an awesome app that lets u change lots of color/display/performance settings, and make unlimited profiles to load certain settings. You can change video clocks, monitor resolutions, monitor refresh rates (though this can be dangerous), invert colors, and even enable a CPU idle thread. E.g.: u can click one button to make 3DMark 2000 load, w/ 263/376 clocks, @ brightness 140%, FSAA off, anisotropic off. Just search for “PowerStrip” @ download.com!
Hmm, what else… µhhhh… oh, I finally removed my D drive, and now there are no HDDs over my NorthBridge! When I moved drives around last week, and Windows gayed up 😡 , and my D drive got corrupt, I had to format…. but now it’s all good, and my NB has stayed @ 78° since I just booted (18mins ago). Before, my hard drives being in the rack above my NB would heat it up as they worked more & more.
