Hot plates of news…

…served with a touch of Christmas joy. Maybe…no, fuck that.

Break out DAP, cause it’s time to download a shitload of stuff again. 😮

First off, the new version of the DivX codec is out, 4.12. It fixes some junk with the P4 and VIA chipsets…so, I reckon I’ll probably get it, being that I have a VIA chipset. Linkage

Just when you thought your Quake version was current, it ain’t! 😕 Mother fuckers at id busted out a new version on Thursday. It doesn’t look like an important patch, unless you play online often. If you can decypher it, here’s what it fixes:

fixed Doppler effect
changed protocol from 66 to 67
fixed simple developer 1 cvar cheat hack
changed a few warnings to developer warnings
rcon commands no longer fragment, sent buffered to the rcon client
fixed connection issues / broken userinfo
only printing R_AddPolyToScene warnings with +set developer 1
various dedicated server issues fixed

I wish they’d permenantly fix my mouse scroll and zoom problems one of these days. Linkage, or the id FTP looks good today and no lines.

That’s all the downloads, I guess. Uhh…I saw a pretty funny cartoon over at [H]ardOCP today whilst browsing their news. Linkage. Also, you should check out the Case MOD article they had. Loog and I were gawking over them cases in networking class on Thursday and then I played the only First-Person shooter I could find for Java, Scared.

Friday, I put in a new Dual Fan 300w PSU. I haven’t experienced any weird shit with the Hard Drives yet, so it must have been a bad unit. 8)

Saturday, I was attacked by women whilst trying to sleep. 😡 Damn you! Here‘s one of them, now!
