Just now, I went to SharkyExtreme and found a similar article, reviewing just the i845… and they loved it; it scored an 8.5. That’s the int part… but anyway, I learned something from Sharky’s review: AGP2X cards and mobos aren’t supported by the i845 or i850. In fact, if you try to use an AGP vid card in 2X mode (as Snake and I’s are set to currently), the mobo might become very badly damaged. We probably won’t be getting this chipset when we upgrade our mobos/CPUs… Abit’s KR7A-Raid looks very nice (it uses the KT266A chipset included in Tom’s review).
Hmm, what else… I just got a nice Philips 12Xx8Xx36X burner… it’s a bit slow, compared to others like Snake‘s, but I love it… it looks sleek, and using Nero w/ it works like a charm. I also got a GE DVD/CDRW/MP3 player… quite nice, though a bit useless. Too bad S&L Computers couldn’t start up yet… I’m itchin to build somethin 😛 .
It’s Christmas!!!
µhhhhhhhh… oh, and my microwave blew up.
