Ok, I got some new demos and HL mods: Delta Force 3 demo, Oni demo, CounterStrike, They Hunger, and USS Darkstar. I was never able to effectively play Hunger on my POS PC, so I’m replaying it. Delta Force 3 basically rocks, much better than the original. I am also replaying the fun but poorly plotted USS Darkstar. Of course, CounterStrike kicks ass, as everyone knows. Anyway, I’ve lessened my Deus playing a little, but I still want to post this: every week, for a month, I shall have the “Deus Strats”, official strategies by me; cool things I have discovered that I want to pass on to you. Okay, right into it:

Location: Brooklyn Naval Ship Yard
Mission: 8

-In the back of the main building, next to the two warehouses, there will be a side building with an opened garage. Next to this garage are three transfer trucks. Highlight a back door of the truck that you can access from the building. You will notice that the Door Strength is very low, and since this door is not barred, you can break it down with a weapon. I recommend a silent weapon (either a crowbar, knife, baton, or the wonderful Dragon’s Tooth Sword that you picked up in Hong Kong). If you use a louder weapon, a mech or guard could find you. Once you have hit the door twice and have broken in, smash only 2 of the 3 boxes, and pick up what comes from them. Put your weapon away, and pick up the remaining box. Now walk over with it to another truck, and set it down next to a door. Jump on it and use the same method to break into the other truck. Once you’re done in there, do the same thing about the box with the third truck. When you have raided all three trucks, break open that last box. You will find a lot of goodies here. Continue with your mission.

Ok, people, Snake wanted me to put up some news, so here it is: nothing’s going on in the clan, ‘cept for some UT multiplayer matches, so I’ll just give some personal news. Deus Ex kicks ass. I got it with my new sound card, and it’s awesome. I play like 3 hours of it a day. I love the inventory system, how you can pickpocket dead people, and all the ingenious gameplay of achievement-based rewards and different ways to get around. Anyway, my favorite part lately has been the voices. I just finished “Brooklyn Bridge”, where you have to search for the first ambrosia cannister, and there’s a gang upstairs, with El Rey as their leader. His henchmen say lots of cool phrases, and I’d like to present some of them to you. Make sure you have the MPP Plug-In first (I’m not giving the link, you should have it by now, or you must not know S&L very well). Heh. Now, this is a very big file, so just go masturbate or get some food or something and come back in a few minutes, and it should be playin’! So, enjoy!

Dec 23, 2000

Ok, everyone, Snake is gone to North Carolina till the 25th, for Christmas, so it’s up to me to keep the site in order. I just now finished my January Column (actually named deccol.html), as promised. Hope you like it. Lately, I’ve been dilling around with Christmas stuff (i.e. wrapping presents, putting up tree, making cards), so I haven’t had much time to do anything else. However, I managed to play and beat Half-Life and make the beta for my first successful Unreal Tournament custom map, “TwoRooms”. All it has now is one big center room and two smaller rooms on either end, with light and about 15 player starts. No bugs, but still pretty simple. Reporting for Quelog, he wants you all to know that he just got a new computer swivel chair, and it kicks ass, and he’s in “nerd heaven”. This’ll probably be the last news anyone in the clan puts up for a while, so Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!!! [turns off Santa Claus WAV file]

Ok, I’m back working on the site, you loyal 9 people! Our site’s looking better than ever, and Quelog is even contributing. Snake and I have both helped Que and Gandalf into the realm of HTML editing. Boomage to us. Anyway, I have my new PC up and running, and I did 2 formats that weren’t even necessary, but I will be working on my December Column, among playing my many games. I should have it completed by Christmas or so. As my first Assistant Webmaster decision in a few months, I order that our clan start the official schedule of games on the first of next year (that’s 1/1/01, for you people who like to see numbers). I’m sure Snake will have no problem with this. Well, time to listen to MODs and play some Deus Ex.

Playlist: Week of May 28th – Loogie

Notice Snake doesn’t do these anymore? I don’t really want to either, but they help me release my feelings and talk about my achievements.

In non-game news (god forbid), my cat died! You can find a pic of her on my page of the Photo Album, before she died (I’d put a link to it, but it you’re cat died, you wouldn’t be feeling helpful, either!). Now I have no pets, so I may become more sullen than usual now.

In game news (“oh, thank god!”- go to Hell), it was, of course, TFC. I made lots of awesome moves, but I’m not telling you. If you want to hear our stories, then just get the god damn game and play for yourself! I made the rank of Major, which, of course, Snake had to one-up with Lieutenant Colonel the next day. My new favorite map is “thekeep”. It’s a huge desert map with APCs, mortars and machine-guns.
Sorry I was such an asshole this playlist, but just take a look at Angel and you’ll see why I miss my pet so much. Peace out, gamers.

Playlist: Week of May 21st – Loogie

Sorry we forgot to do the playlist last week. We only have one excuse: TFC! TFC, dawg! These two weeks have been chock-full of TFC excitement, so here goes:
We never mentioned that we developed TFC Clan S&L, which of course is all over the website. Clan S&L is the only “real clan”. We have ranks, rules, website info, and medals. Nobody else gives a shit about their clans, and their all clan whores, switching and double-timing. Anyway, we also have our own TFC Spraypaint Logo (that Snake made). The members in our clan keep expanding. We now have 6 total, including real members, recruits, and soon-to-be recruits.

TFC Moment of the Week(s): Sewer, Hunted. A sniper was sniping me behind a grate, and I drilled him with the HWGuy’s Assault Cannon. Then, when I turned around, the wounded sniper ran after me with the autorifle. I was heading for the ladder to the Warehouse Ramp; he got there first, and i finished him off from below as he was climbing up the ladder. Approximate health loss in process: 10-15.

I have come a long way since the last playlist. I fully understand every map, and I have played about 12. I’ve mastered about every class. My excitement has not yet dwindled; I have played TFC actively longer than any other game. I will not stop playing it until I get a new PC (for Christmas? Oh, please!), and then I will most likely move onto bloodier pastures, with games like Soldier of Fortune, Daikatana, and Unreal Tournament.
